Karl-Niklaud HULT from Sweden has been with us since the 16th of May 2002. On the 1st of July 2002, the White Shark Trust welcomed three new Field Research Assistants: Christiane BROUWER (Alberta, Canada), Jamie GALDUN (Herndon, VA, USA) and Rima JABADO (Montreal, Quebec).

Pippa HACKLAND (University of Cape Town) joined us also for three weeks to collect field data for her Honours Project at the University of Cape Town...

On the 3rd of July, the weather was even nicer... the sea even more flat... but the sharks were few and lazy... we again had three sharks!

Wonderful day nevertheless!

On the 4th of July, we celebrated the American National Day with seven White Sharks... and again the weather was wonderful!

Rima was handling the baitline, Jamie was recording behavioural pattern data, Christiane was handling the seal decoy (nick-named "Britney") and Pipa was taking stereo-photographs, while Niklas was assisting everyone (and fishing)...

Photographs taken by Rima Jabado during her stay in July 2002... these are from a more social point of view...
