Monday the 27th of January 2003... A beautiful but windy day... Long waiting hours... which finally paid off with two sharks in clear water... but we also witnessed the last moments of "Britney", our seal decoy... A great day!

Today we observed two very rare observations: a Sunfish (Mola mola) and a Bronze Whaler Shark!!!

Linda was on our bait handler today... her first day... and she even had the shark coming up to the surface to have a better look at her. A very powerful moment!

Chris and Costas were on Stan (Shark Diving Unlimited) who anchored next to us later during the day... and Morne gave us something to look at!

This was the best day, we probably had so far this year... Great weather, good visibility and a very nice shark... Shame about Britney... and it was all Lydia's fault (our Britney handler for the day, who got her job cut short).

The photographs presented below have been taken by Paul Groves in January 2003 in Hermanus, Gansbaai and at Dyer Island...
