The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Leonard PACE from Brooklyn (New York, USA), TJ BARANEK from Pewaukee (Wisconsin, USA), Emilio VALENTINO from Bussigny (Switzerland) and Tommaso MAGRO (Trieste, Italy).

In the evening of the 16th of July 2003, we had a braai (traditionnal South African "barbecue"), and celebrated Tommaso's Birthday!

Happy Birthday Tommaso!

The national forecast was for a storm to hit our coastline on the 16th... as usually, they were wrong - Fortunatelly for us anyway...

We had a very nice day on the 17th of July with five different White Sharks, even though we had to wait for them a while...

We observed one satellite tagged shark whom we tagged in April of this year. That was very exciting as you may imagine!

The storm did indeed hit us, but 24 hours late, in the afternoon of the 17th.
