The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Lori ORTEGA from Galveston (Texas, USA), Suraida NANEZ-JAMES from Galveston (Texas, USA), Michelle RAYBURN from Calgary (Canada) and Leonard PACE from Brooklyn (New York, USA).

Michael UNWIN from the United Kingdom took part of the Assistantship program from the 1st of April to the 15th of May, he has now joined us until the 16th of June as a guest.

Wednesday the 11th of June 2003 was a fantastic and wonderful day! Dead calm sea with crystal clear water! We observed seven sharks today - the sharks were unfortunately not very playfull today. Last couple of days for Lori, Suraida and MichaelU, but they have been very lucky during their stay with the weather and certainly the sharks!
Lori being such an adicted reader of the Maxim Magazine, we have tried to make one of her life dreams come true: To appear in her favorite magazine! Probably not centerfold, but probably in the reader section... she will send in a couple of the pictures below...
The boat "Stan" (Shark Diving Unlimited) came to anchor next to us, and as always, their crew provided for some excellent photo opportunities. They filmed the sharks on scuba from the bottom, and hopefully, we will be able to present some of these amazing pictures on these pages at a later stage.
