The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Holly FRANK (Surprise, Arizona, USA), James van den BROEK (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia), and Nicola PYLE (Portsmouth, Hampshire, England).

We welcomed back Andy B. Casagrande IV to the White Shark Trust as a guest for a few weeks...

On the 1st of September, we also welcome Susan Marion COGHILL from Tighnabruaich, Argyll in Scotland.

Friday the 3rd of September 2004... What can I say? Susan is one of the luckiest assistants we ever had... What a fantastic and amazing day at sea!!! Beautiful weather... Glass flat ocean... Eleven different White Sharks ranging from two to three and a half meters long... Six hours of continuous Shark activity around the boat, and what amazing Sharks they were!
We welcomed Tom Peschak on board with his brand new 16mm 1:2.8 lens in his Subal housing... He certainly had the Sharks posing for him today... What an amazing day! At some point, we had three Sharks crusing around the boat at the same time. Susan is so lucky on her first day, or maybe she is bringing us luck! What a day!!!!
Most Sharks today, especially our first one who we nicknamed Stoney, cruised slowly around the boat and to the bait... but our second Shark of the day, came back in the afternoon and decided to try the breaching technique on our bait... without success unfortunately for her... but she gave us an amazing show, especially with that last complete breach!!!
