The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Edward FARRELL (Dublin, Ireland), Clova JURK (Perth, Scotland), Sarah BAHAN (Idaho, USA), and Barney DUNLOP (Bath, England)

Timo SECKLER (Ellenberg, Germany) has been our assistant since the 15th of July 2005. He assisted with the manual telemetry tracking of White Sharks in Mossel Bay during the month of August.

Andy Brandy CASAGRANDE IV has been our assistant, guest and especially friend since September 2003, and he has been living in Gansbaai and assisting the White Shark Trust during most of 2004 and now again in 2005.

When we welcomed the VOX Wolkenlos television crew yesterday, our assistants were shuttled back to shore with a rubberduck... and well, let's just say that I felt sorry for the unaware skipper...
Gansbaai like only few people have seen it... Hundreds of people gathering in the main (and only) road to celebrate the truly unique and fun Christmas lights. On Thursday 8th of December, the lights were turned on at nine in the evening... Where in the world do you see Sharks, Whales, Oystercatchers, and Santa pulled by Dolphins?
They even have a suspicious looking bell... In Gansbaai, Capital of the Great White Shark, this one looks rather like some pelvic fins with two claspers... Afterwards, we then went to the Buitensteen Pub for a few drinks (too many for some) and a small meal...
On Friday, while the guys were recuperating from their hangovers, and once again, while we are waiting for the strong seas to calm down, Michael and Tracey went to the beach to walk the dogs, Billy and Max...
